Just what the title says. The game is fine until entering 3D. It doesn't crash, I can hear the sounds and there are two thin lines on the screen where I can see movement behind. I thought it may be just a VR thing but it is both. I have done a clean install 2 times with the same results.

RTX 2070 with the latest drivers.

I think I figured it out. Went step by step in the cfg. files to edit what I normally edit. The only thing that caused the problem was lowering the space debris from 256 to 128. Put it to back 256 and it's working.

Well, wasn't it, this was. I went back in and changed the following to 0.....black screen. Re set to 1 and was good.

; Enable the new text renderer. Disabling this setting may improve performance
Text2DRendererEnabled = 1
; Enable anti-aliasing for the new text renderer. Disabling this setting may improve performance
Text2DAntiAlias = 1
; TextFontFamily = font family
; Set the font family used to render in-flight text
TextFontFamily = Verdana
; TextWidthDelta = delta
; Set the delta added to the character width
TextWidthDelta = 1

The Text renderer is no longer that much of a performance sink. Enabling it should be fine (but it's odd that disabling it breaks the game). I'm sorry this caused trouble for you, but I'm glad you were able to figure it out!

Upon more testing the culprit seems to be setting FillWireFrame = 0 If I put 1 I get the black screen. Sorry for all the mis-info
