After install from modified XWA CDROM (X-Wing Alliance MSI v 1.0.0.0 (built from my XWA CDROM-not GOG/Steam versions), I install the LucasArts patch (xwaupd202) then the XWA Mega patch and get the following error in attachment (sorry for poor quality). I have an older WinXP SP3 32-bit system with (I believe) the proper Win Installer Dist versions recommended.
If easy solution is to purchase/install GOG version, let me know and I'll do that.
Thanks again for so much hard work!

It seems to me you are trying to install a 64bit patch in a 32bit os... that cannot work

Hello,
I think the minimum required OS version for the mod is Windows 7.

Thanks for the replys and sorry for the delay. The original installs went as follows and all failed;
Install from original cd and XWA 2020 Updates on win XP and Win 7 32 bit-FAILED
Install from original cd modified with X-Wing Alliance MSI V1 files and XWA 2020 Updates on win XP and Win 7 32 bit-FAILED
Install from GOG version and XWA 2020 Updates on win XP and Win 7 32 bit-FAILED
Install from original cd and XWA 2020 Updates on Win 10 64 bit-FAILED
Install from original cd modified with X-Wing Alliance MSI V1 files and XWA 2020 Updates on Win 10 64 bit-FAILED
Install from GOG version and XWA 2020 Updates on Win 10 64 bit-FAILED UNTIL I used Babu Frik's Configurator to disable the VR options and THEN it all worked.
Hope this helps someone. I'm playing on a Inspiron 17 N7010 laptop from 2010 and it's holding up well. Where do I send my thank you .003 shares of BitCoin?

Glad you found a way to get it to work. Really strange that you had issues with the newer Windows installs. Those should've worked right away.

As for the Bitcoin, that is nice, but as we don't want to have the wrath of Disney coming down on us we cannot accept any sort of payment in any way that is connected to the XWAU.
Simply playing the game and spreading the word is thanks enough :D
