I made the genius mistake of opening up my pilot file in XWAPFVLite and it seems to have wiped out everything on display in the crew quarters, medals, helmet decor, mission decoration items.
The scores and such seem to be intact, so I tried to transplant the scores from this into a new save file with a copy and paste, but that results in the same situation.
Is there a way to fix this, or have I hosed my pilot file?

Edit : Yeeeaah that wasn't smart of me. Digging through the archives it seems there's no way to edit the scores on a pilot file - guess I'll use piloteer to restore the pilot.bak to where I was in the game. Ooops.

However I have just noticed you can't seem to create a new pilot in the new launch menu.

Hello,
When you use a new pilot from the new launcher, it will not create a pilot file. You will be prompted to choose a pilot name and the file will be created the next time the game is launched.
