[Solved] Battle 3 Mission 5 (Capture Satellite with Aeron) Troopers have no hit points

Tried to play B3M5- and once the Space Troopers come out its impossible to destroy them as missiles and lasers go right through. I also ran through one of the troops and it did not hit my ship.

Any ideas??

I tried to reproduce this, set myself up in a skirmish against 6 Zero-G Troopers and 6 Zero-G Workers and was able to hit and destroy them.

I think the biggest issue is their small size. If you're too close, you may have trouble hitting them as your weapon hardpoints are alot further to the left than your cockpit PoV.
Best method is to snipe them from further away. Note: The off-center weapon displacement is also something you should keep in mind for the final mission.

i find that it is much easier to destroy them by flying very close, targeting them and pressing 'f' to autofire on them

Valid technique, as well, but during that particular mission I've had more than more than one instance where one a stray auto-turret blast accidentally hit and oneshot the objective and failed the mission. So I'm not doing that anymore.

yes this is my purpose of getting very close and slowing down before triggering the autofire. usually if you are close enough they will be destroyed by the first shot and the gun will stop firing. if you trigger it too far away it will probably miss a few shots and yeah you might blast a satellite.
