UPDATE

Hello,
I've updated the 32bpp hook.

You can now add all the texture of a skin into a single archive file. The supported format are zip and 7z.

To reduce the count of textures files, you can compress the directories of skins. If the directory is "FlightModels\Skins\[Model]\[Skin1]\", you can create "FlightModels\Skins\[Model]\[Skin1].zip" or "FlightModels\Skins\[Model]\[Skin1].7z". The textures are at the root of the archive file.
So far this is crashing for me.
By that I mean using any skin as normal and NOT compressed.
The mission crashes before it hits the hangar a few seconds after loading.
As a test I've only used the files in xwa_hook_32bpp.zip. So it's one of those causing an issue.

EDIT: hook_32bpp_net.dll is the issue.
With this new one and the others the game crashes.
With the old hook_32bpp_net.dll, ‎‎27 ‎November ‎2021, and the other new ones then the game loads and the skins show.
It would also help if the file version numbers were updated in the properties Details tab.
I just tried B7M1 with the new hooks and it worked fine on my end, are you sure you have the right dll? My hook_32bpp_net.dll is dated 24.12.2021 14:37

Hello,
Can you post a crash report from the events viewer?
Well howzabout that! It's working now.
I was still getting crashes trying to do simple testing but it seems there must have been a Hook change I missed.
Copying all Hooks into a new test environment seems to have worked.
Plus it seem the Skins in a zip file also work.

Sorry for the confusion. Thanks very much for you work @JeremyaFr

Did it crash on launch of the game or on launching a mission? @AngeI is having issues with his game crashing right away. Though in his case I suspect the DEP issue again, but it would be interesting to know if it might the same issue you had.

It crashed on any Mission where Skins were involved. Before it got to the Hangar.
Any normal mission was fine.

Among the presented types of weapons, you will find those that combine an excellent rate of fire and high accuracy and power. And the presence of a silencer will not affect the accuracy of shooting in any way. There are also universal types of weapons that are equally effective in CS:GO at any distance. Many models are perfect for a long spray and will help hold positions, allowing conducting a prolonged fire, while the spread adjustment will require minimal. And if you exchange skins or sell and, with the help of rust items trade bot, it is generally easy to do.

UPDATE

Hello,
I've updated the 32bpp hook.

I've improved the performance of the JeremyAnsel.Xwa.Opt library. The loading time for OPTs with skins should now be reduced and the memory use should also be reduced.

Thanks @JeremyaFr . Question... do all * .dll files inside your "xwa_hook_32bpp.zip" file go into the main XWXA folder, or just the specific files per the Readme.txt instructions ?

All the *.dll files go in the XWA folder, next to XWingAlliance.exe

Great job, Jeremy! For so long, we've been limited to the FG colors. I thought these times would never come. Thanks a lot! Anyway, are there folks that enjoy playing Rust? I had just recalled some memories of when I used to play for utter months, and nobody from my entire family could detach me from the game process. That was awesome and, at the same time, terrible for all my entourage. I even used to buy here at https://totalrust.com various crap I don't need using my mom's card. She was pretty near to giving up upon me and giving someone else my custody.

UPDATE

Hello,
I've updated the 32bpp hook.

You can now define an opacity parameter to skins.

To define an opacity parameter for a skin, apend -### to the skin name. Replace ### with an integer from 0 to 100. 100 is full opacity. For example, if the skin is SkinName and the opacity value is 50, then the skin name is SkinName-50.
