Is there a way to go back to the original Lady Blue picture in the room?
I figured out I can change the close up picture by reverting the file Frontres\MEDALS\LADYBLUE.CBM but I don't understand which file changes its "preview" in the room itself.

Firstly I'm sorry you don't like my updated version of Lady Blue. But I get that it's not for everyone and it has retro memories.

You fix the Lady Blue pic by reverting the file as you did from the Backup folder. The small pic is harder to do.

The image is stored in Resdata\Frontend_CrewRoom.dat
Now you could go to RESDATA.txt in the XWA folder and delete that line, but that would restore 9 new options not just 1.
If you want to remove it you will need to use Jeremys XWA Dat Editor and edit the file.
Delete the last line 15900-900. Save. Then XWA will revert back to the original one.

I recommend you do backups first as always. Hope that helps.

Sorry if it looked like I'm disrespecting your work. It's just in this case I don't think Lady Blue should be a Twi'lek. But I really do appreciate all the amazing things done for this mod.

It's all good, no offense taken. :) Believe me, the amount of criticism the team give each other on our stuff we know not everyone likes everything lol

If anyone has any good pics for using to make a different modern human Lady Blue then post them up here.
I'll see what I can do. I always planned a few variation versions.

If I recall Lady Blue is the female human kiffar a-wing pilot presented in X-wing Solo Command and Bacta War. She has blue hairs and black flower kiffar tattoes on her face

The A-Wing pilots in Solo Command are Todra Mayn (human woman from Commenor) and Dorset Konnair (human woman from Coruscant). They don’t appear in Stackpole’s novels. Neither of them could be Lady Blue either, since Lady Blue dies in XWA several weeks before Endor, while Solo Command is set over three years later.

Yep.

We should not use any novel happening after the game as source for that

At a glance the problem with making a new Lady Blue is there doesn't seem to be a lot of useful images.
Can't really use a real persons image without permission. Most of the artwork out there isn't suitable

So do I but I can never please everyone :D That's why I would consider a variation version with a human pic.
Whenever I see something they already have a name and a history to the character.
I've had the idea of several options that can be created for the objects but never had any spare time since.
How about this I just found. It looks pretty cool!

Just my taste: I really like the vanilla/original one. Or maybe something very similar. I like even the style of drawing, it is more suggestive. Regarding composition and expression I like more the original too; it is more reflexive and leading to nostalgy (looking down, not staring at you, etc...), she feels strong and lovely at the same time. I think it fits better.

Just my two cents / my opinion.

Lady Blue has been a change that goes 50/50 with people. If you want to restore it check out my post at the top of this page.
There will be future changes to come for the Crew room next year I hope.

What I will do though is look into a way of allowing you to easily choose the old Lady Blue or new one in the installer or via Babu Frik etc.
That way people can revert back to the original if you prefer to see that. Will take a little coding but it should be doable :)

Is this included in Megapatch 2020 Update 5, or does it need to be downloaded separately?

CREW QUARTERS UPGRADE V1.1 is included and has been for some time now.

I'm working on V2 for next year with some new options and designs with help from the Team :)

A little bit of news for you guys.
The talented MechDonald has been helping me to improve areas of the Crew Room. :) He has made some great new images.

In the future 2022 version there will be options to alter several items using the Babu Frik launcher.
For example you can choose new or "classic" Lady Blue or Pirate Flag pictures.

Here's a teaser of one. An improved version of the Classic XWA Pirate Flag.
New = Left. Old = Right.

There's also other improvements that have been worked on which we will show you in the future :)

Also I am looking for some feedback from you guys please .
The Bothan Spynet Membership thing is HUGE! It doesn't seem right a secret spy ring would display on the wall something bigger than a picture and nearly a poster?
I would think it's more like a secret credit card sized item, that you flash at members.

Do you think the small wall picture should be reduced down in size a little?
Screenshot 2022-01-30 142149.jpg

Also while on the subject does anyone have any ideas for possible new designs?

I like your logic and agree with it. But if it's too small it's hard to see or click on.

Conversely, it is only an "honorary" membership. So that's the kind of thing you probably want to display, and it may not actually get you any access to the spynet itself. It's like getting an honorary doctorate, it's a nice thing to hang on your wall, but nobody's going to pay you a higher salary for it.

I get your view on honorary. It makes sense.
But why do Spies show off such stuff publicly? :D Wouldn't be very good spies if they gave it away lol

I can certainly see that point, but on the other hand, the CIA, KGB, FSB, NSA, MI6, etc all have/had logos and posters - they just didn't take them with them on mission. I think a large decoration is fine as a souvenir or award.
