Hi Guys,
Been away for a while, sometimes life just happens , but now I'm just catching with XWAU and found these new goodies, great work!
Unfortunately I ran into problems after installing V5 over my previously working V4. It just crashes when loading a mission at approximately 20% without an apparent reason. (no dialog indicating the error)
I decided to start fresh so did a clean install of XWA, installed the XWAU 2020 Mega Path, and installed every update while running the game and starting a mission in-between the updates. Everything went fine up to V5, V4 working like a breeze but after making the step to V5 I experience the same crashes at mission loading (either a mission or skirmish) again no dialog indicating an error but this time I checked the Event Viewer and found 2 errors:
Error 1:
Source: .NET Runtime

You do not need to install the updates individually, it's just XWAU 2020 and then Patch Version 5 (which includes the previous patches). Maybe try installing it that way.

.NET Framework 4.8 is the latest version. Yours seems very out of date.
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/down ... work/net40
Also make sure you have all the latest Windows Updates downloaded.
Also once XWAU is installed don't run it through GOG links after that or it could get corrupted.

Actually, .NET 4.8 is installed it seems: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet ... windows-11 and I indeed get the error ".NET Framework 4.8 or a later update is already installed on this computer" when trying to install it.
Don't know why, and if in fact it is really a problem, but in the Event Log v4.0.30319 is mentioned as the Framework version.
If the Framework version is really the culprit then I wonder what has changed between update V4 and Update V5 (and why the application is not picking up on the available 4.8 )
Anyway, I’m curious where the Exception code: 0xc0000005 originates from.
