And boy am I proud of that one!
Remember this ship from around 2005?
Well here we go, 12 years later. 300 meters of pure TBP Project nostalgia, fully armed, operation and explorable and packed to the brim with all kinds of goodies:
Soooo, what is there to say?
Let's recap the historical background
The UPSF's second generation Patriot is a heavy Frigate developed as a means to respond to constant pirate attacks on trade routes and distant colonies in an effort to take the fight to the enemy. For this purpose the Patriot Mk2 has been slightly stripped of its maneuverability for the sake of a greater cargo capacity to hold supplies, troops and ground vehicles as well as extended starfighter support, allowing the ship to operate ans a mobile base of operations in nonsecure sectors.
The ship is semi-survival ready as with some of the gattling turrets requiring manual refil. I may try to fix that in a later iteration. Apart from that it features a full production system(redundant) and other features such as
- Repair bay
- Automated lockdown system for airlocks and fighter hangars
- Lockdown mechanics for various sections
- Kill-switch (Self destruct system) - Fun to use with the critical Jump drive explosion mod!
Due to its size, the design and the stuff packed into it, the Patriot II is a bit sluggish to handle, but from its role as a mobile base I don't imagine it dogfighting anyway
I've tested the ship in and out and it seems to run smoothly on my pc. In order to benefit performance I planted sensors for lighting in most common areas. Still, can't make promises

As usual with my ships, it's completely mod-free, safe for MMaster's Automatic LCDs 2 and Phil's Screen Diagnostics.

That's all for now, now go out there and have fun!
