Currently known issues:
- When entering the hanger from an active mission, the game appears to stop, or stutter a lot
This happens when entering the hangar from a running mission, so when returning after a mission, or reloading, etc. This is caused by the game running above 60Hz. You can still use the game (pressing the arrow keys should let you continue) but to solve this you must make sure that the game does not run above 60Hz. Depending on your GPU and driver this can be achieved in many ways. Setting your monitors refresh rate in Windosx to 60Hz often solves it, but modern GPU drivers might override it, so be sure to check if you cannot limit the game to 60 FPS in your GPU driver settings. - X-Wing Alliance Installer Manager cannot access the internet
In some cases the InstallerManager appears to not be able to access the internet. This will be apparent by the following error when checking for updates: If you run into this issue you can check the Manual Installation Section of the Installation Guide
We would appreciate it if you could report this and tell us what Anti-Virus solution you are using, and what personal firewall you are using.
The latest InstallerManager available from our downloads section appears to fix the issues with the InstallerManager not being able to connect to the internet.
--- - The new skirmish pictures are placed too far to the left
Clicking on them no longer triggers the ship selection but changes the ships options (like the warhead selections). We will see if a better placement is possible, for now if you want to move the images further to the right you can do this by adjusting the general defaults:
Open your Hooks.ini and in the hook_concourse section search for this line:Increasing this number will move the ships more to the right. Just play around with what feels good.Code: Select all

Be aware that this value is being overwritten in the AssaultGunboat.ini and the Uwing.ini
--- - Resetting the Config in Babu Frik will use a wrong template
When using the Reset Game Configuration in Babu Frik it will reset the Babu Frik's own configuration template to an older version. This will result in some few options not being available.
This can be easily remedied by simply applying any of the graphics presets in Babu Frik.
--- - Subtitle text displayed is not in sync with messages in missions
This is a new issue that popped up when fixing another issue where sounds were not played at all.
Updating the hooks with the option in the launcher will fix this issue
--- - enhanced HUD doesn't display special characters properly
When using non english characters in ship names, or in the cargo (like Défiance) the enhanced HUD will not properly display the name: To fix this issue download the latest Effects ddraw from our Downloads section and add it to your XWAU 2025 install.
--- - Mission B1M7: Destroy Imperial Sensor Net
If both the sensor array and platform are destroyed very quickly the INT will not show up, making the mission impossible to win.
Replace the mission in your missions folder with this one to fix the issue:
