Some of you may have noticed the site being offline or at the very least being extremely slow. This is due to a sudden and massive bot attack going on. This is not really a targeted attack but yet another escalation of AI scrappers. I have tried my best to block as many as I can and I also upgraded my server package to a higher more expensive tier, but I don't know how much that will really help. The main bottleneck is the database, and I might have to also get a higher performance DB as well. (This is not as easy to do, and of course will cost yet even more)
I am monitoring the situation and hope that the site will at least be somewhat stable for now. Note that the availability of the installation packages via the XwaInstallerManager should not have been affected.
Note that with the added security features even more people might run into the issue that they cannot access the forum. As of now you either need Firefox or the latest Chrome browser to access the forum. I am aware that this is not ideal, but it's either that or no page at all

I am having difficulties to download the XWAU 2025 files. Download get to 5.14 GB of files normally, the it stuck itself and the speed fell down to nothing. I have done all the usual checks: its not my ISP, or my devices. Other things works perfectly.

Try downloading it via the download page. Just to see if that works better. (You have to select the checkbox below "Show manual downloads")capitanguinea wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2026 4:57 pmi used xwainstallermanager. the bin folder shown a zipped file of around 5.4 gigabite, but the xwainstallermanager shell showed it at 5.1

it is going better: data stream do not seem chocking during the download and bandwidth and speed do remain more or less constant and fluid.
I would like to take the chance to ask: the XWAU 2025 1.0 is per sè complete or need to be fixed with the 1.1 at all cost?
edit: download successfull. Now where I will find the guide to install the package?
