Thanks for XWAUP team who brings this 20+ years old game a new life. The newest update enable VR mode which gives an incredible gaming experience. Even without VR kit, TrackIR also works with Face Track software via a webcam. This is worthy to play all missions from entire X-Wing series again. When I start to play XWA again, I found it was very hard for me to pass some missions, maybe it's because my skill is rusty. However, I personally prefer X-wing missions which is simple and easier. So I started to work on update for XWC (XWing Conversion) so that I can play original X-Wing missions all over again.
XWC5.0 includes XvT missions as rebel pilot, and it contains multi-player mode. Justagai create a program named XWAGMC, which makes custom missions in multi-player mode much easier, all player can also watch briefing together before launch. However, all player must have exactly the same craft configuration otherwise game will become not playable. We can set it as XWAUP4.0 default and play. Anyone wants to try it with me please feel free to contact me via GameRanger. (waylonger, acount#: 797873).
XWC missions was tested and balanced in DSUCP2.2 but not under XWAUP, some missions becomes very hard to accomplish, I will play it through and try to balance them, updated mission file will be released here:

Hi Waylon, this is great news, thanks very much! - I have been looking forward to replaying X-Wing in the XWAU2020 for some time!
I d/l the new XWC 5.0 from your site (had to use the mirror as the main link was broken). The Read Me file says it is XWC 4.5?, but great to see everything has been updated for XWA202!

Mission can't be played, game will exit itself after loading. Also detected some sort of a trojan alert on your file.

You need to use pilot from the pack, the trojan alert is due to XWAGMC.exe, this is the program allowing host to select mission in multiplayer mode.
You can also enter a combat mission then battle mission, this will also fix the error.

This is download link of updated mission files. I played through all XWing missions include training. Generally just add more arsenal, 200% shield, lower imperial fighters' AI. because I can't out maneuver with 3 (and more) Ace fighters after all wingmen are gone.
I tested few XvT missions they seem all well balanced.

Hi,
I tried installing this, but when I launch the game, I get an error message and the game crashes.
Does anyone have an idea what could be a possible cause for this?

I'm here after XWC 5.0 as well. I was so looking forward to playing X-Wing with all the modern eye-candy so finding all the official links dead been quite a bummer. If anyone could please share a link to the live download, that would be really great.
