Update for the XwaInstallerManager

@JeremyaFr just updated the XwaInstallerManager to add some great quality of live improvements.

Upon your next launch it will ask you if you want to update it. If you click yes it will download the newest version.

Please note that on the current version of the XwaInstallerManager there is a small bug which will result in an error. You can simply click okay and restart the XwaInstallerManager.

Upon the next launch you will see the much improved new layout:
XIM.jpg

This will now order Packages that belong to each other together, and mark newly available downloads. (New meaning being released within a month and not yet downloaded)
You can now also easily see what each package is.
  • Full packages will create a new folder with a new separate mod installation
  • Patch packages will be installed into an existing mod installation. You can see what mod and version is required in the Prerequisite column.
  • Optional packages will also be installed into an existing mod installation, but are not required. In this example this is the C-3PO Language Configurator, which is only useful for people who want to play the game in a different language. You can see that the only prerequisite is to have XWAU2025 installed, this addon does not require a specific version.
There's also a nice little legend on the bottom now to explain each icon.

Many thanks to @JeremyaFr for providing this functionality, especially the auto-upgrade functionality which means everybody will be notified upon launching the XwaInstallerManager.

Should you have any further ideas or comments please feel free to add them here!

I got the error bug which made me wonder if I actually installed it. Then I realized there is no version number indicator for the xma installer manager. So if wanted suggestions on what to add that would be my vote, pretty simple but helpful.

Hello,
I'm working on adding an AboutBox dialog to show the version.

Upon trying to launch the XwaInstallerManager.exe, I'm getting a Windows Defender message.
I didn't have that with the previous version. Anything to be concerned about?

This is unfortunately fairly normal and the reason why we do suggest do add the mod directory to your AV exceptions. We do not have the resources to sign the executables so Windows will often complain about them. Note that the above warning does state this. It is not a virus warning, but simply stating that it doesn not want to allow to run an unknown app.
Clicking More Info should let you run it.

Hey there, similar question to shrineas, my machine is running Windows 11, I had the installer downloaded on my drive but hadn't extracted it yet. I went to move it to my install manager directory and windows defender quarantined it. (I need a new mouse or just use ctrl-x like a normal person)

I've tired to re download the install manager and it keeps blocking it, so I figured it could be good to check here before ignoring the AV. it is detecting "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.H!ml"

False positive?

Yes, unfortunately AVs these days have to make a lot more 'fuzzy' tests so that they can identify malicious code. This does mean that there will be false positives as well. If you run the program through multiple different AV engines most likely a few will find different kinds of malicious code in it.
There's nothing we can realistically do about this however.
